Every year around this time I usually have to restrain myself from going on a huge rant about why I don’t wear a poppy. It’s a debate that usually doesn’t end well and I do think this is down to people not being willing to properly listen to any kind alternative view when it comes to ‘rememberence’, for most people its a black & white issue – and I usually just come across as disrespectful in some way.
